This policy applies to pages on the V2Ray Guide website. It explains how information may be handled when you visit the site, read setup guides, or use download links. The site provides static content, has no user accounts, and does not ask visitors to submit email addresses or personal details. The sections below explain how site features, your browser, and hosting services handle data.

1. Data Collection and Analytics

You can browse the site without registering, signing in, or providing identifying information. The site has no forms for submitting node configurations, subscription URLs, or client logs. Setup steps in our guides are performed in your own client; the site does not read those settings through its pages.

We use analytics to understand site traffic, find broken links, and improve our content. This may involve information such as visit times, page paths, referring pages, browser and device types, and approximate geographic region. Hosting and download proxy services may also process standard connection logs, including IP addresses, request times and paths, and browser identifiers. This data is used for site operations, troubleshooting, and aggregated analysis—not to build personal profiles of visitors’ configurations. Log retention periods may vary by service, so we do not claim a single fixed retention period.

2. Cookies and Local Storage

Basic site browsing does not require account cookies. Analytics or site features may use cookies or browser local storage to distinguish repeat visits, remember your language choice, or maintain necessary interface state. This browser data is separate from server configurations stored in your client: the site does not use it to access nodes, subscriptions, or proxy rules saved in your client.

3. Download Links and Third-Party Services

The download center provides client download links for v2rayN, v2rayNG, and v2flyNG. Links may be routed through a same-origin download path on this site to a file delivery service. When a download starts, the service delivering the file may receive the connection information needed to fulfill the request. Version notes and download links on this site help you choose a file; they do not mean that we control the file delivery service’s data handling or ongoing availability.

Pages may also link to other websites. Once you leave this site, those websites’ cookies, logs, and other data practices are governed by their own policies; this policy does not cover them. Before opening an external page or downloading a file, check the address shown in your browser and make sure you understand what the file is for. Do not paste configurations containing personal credentials into unfamiliar websites. If you need to troubleshoot an issue, first check the relevant settings in your client against our documentation.

Running a website involves browsers, network transmission, and hosting services, so we cannot eliminate every risk at every stage. We use these services only as needed to provide the pages and adjust our data practices to reflect how the site actually works. You can clear local data in your browser. Manage client configurations saved by your browser or device in the software that stores them.

5. Policy Updates

This policy may be revised if site features, analytics methods, or download services change. Updated text will appear on this page, and the “Last updated” date at the top will be changed.
